4 Free Shares for Every 1 Share: Authum Investment Shares At 52 Week High, Jumps 8% On 4:1 Bonus Issue Ex-Date

Date:

Shares of Authum Investment & Infrastructure Ltd stayed in focus on Tuesday, January 13, as the stock traded ex-date for its 4:1 bonus issue, pushing Authum Investment shares up almost 8% during early trade on the NSE. The stock is currently trading at a new 52-week high.

The 4:1 bonus issue means that eligible shareholders will receive four free shares for every one share held, which will increase the total number of shares in their portfolio at no additional cost.

This is the first-ever bonus issue announced by the NBFC while the stock has undergone a split in 2021 in a 10:1 ratio. In 2025, Autumn Investment declared two dividends worth Rs. 0.50 per share & Rs. 1 per share in May & March 2025, respectively.

Authum Investment Bonus Issue Ex-Date

Today is the ex-date for the Authum Investment bonus issue, January 13, and it is an important day for determining eligibility. Investors who held Authum Investment & Infrastructure shares before the ex-date will qualify to receive the bonus shares. Those buying the stock on or after the ex-date will not be eligible for the bonus entitlement.

Under the 4:1 bonus ratio, shareholders will receive four additional shares for every one share owned. This means 1 share becomes 5 shares, so if a shareholder held 100 shares previously, they will become 500 shares at no additional investment.
While the number of shares increases, the overall value of the investment remains as the stock price adjusts accordingly after the bonus issue.
