With Valentine’s Day, Lunar New Year, and Mardi Gras all coming up, February is certainly stacked with exciting events. And to add to the fun this month, there’s a bevy of new products to try at Costco. The bulk retailer often adds new items to its shelves, and shoppers have been flocking to social media to share the latest gems.
Want a sweet treat? There’s more than one option to try. Need a quick and easy meal? Costco is offering up delightful finds ranging from tender short ribs to handheld rolls stuffed with meat and cheese. These new bites span a wide range of flavors, and we feel confident you’ll find something that tempts you to switch up your usual grocery list.
As usual, there are a lot of new products coming to the superstore each month, but these are the seven we recommend starting with first. Not every item will stick around, so make sure to try these before they sell out.
Heart-Shaped Chocolate Hazelnut and Raspberry Madeleines
Costco’s bakery is eager to sweeten shoppers’ Valentine’s Day with a variety of holiday-inspired treats, and these adorable heart-shaped madeleines are a standout. The soft, buttery bites of French sponge cake come with either raspberry or chocolate hazelnut filling. They’re great to bring to the office, keep at home for yourself, or gift to a loved one as a sweet surprise.
La Boulangerie Turkey, Pesto, & Swiss Cheese Croissant Pockets
If you’ve enjoyed other baked goods from La Boulangerie at Costco, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a new drop from the brand, and it’s a protein-packed delight. Each of these flaky frozen croissant packets delivers 13 grams of protein and is filled with roasted turkey, basil pesto, and Swiss cheese. The one-pound package includes eight individually wrapped pockets, all for about $15, which means each pastry will cost you less than $2.
Matcha & Chocolate Sandwich Cookies
There’s another new cookie to try from Costco, and it’s the kind of sweet snack that’s perfect for stocking in your desk. This box of sandwich cookies includes two flavor options — matcha and chocolate — made with premium Kyoto Uji matcha and rich Valrhona chocolate. You’ll get 12 of the buttery, crisp cookies for about $15, and they’re each individually wrapped.
Meatball Panino Stuffed Italian-Style Rolls
If a roll filled with beef and pork meatballs, marinara sauce, and mozzarella doesn’t sound like the perfect late-winter comfort food, we don’t know what does. These decadent stuffed rolls are less messy to pick up than a typical meatball sub, making them easy to eat on the couch. Ringing in at about $11 per box of two paninos, these are much more affordable than takeout.
Ruprecht Chinese BBQ-Style Beef Short Ribs
Ruprecht’s Chinese BBQ-Style Beef Short Ribs bring bold flavor and tender meat to your table with minimal effort. This ready-to-eat meal features USDA Choice beef short ribs that have been sous vide to ensure they melt in your mouth before being smothered in a sweet and tangy char siu-style sauce. Each package includes two short rib pouches for about $9 per pound.
Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake
This over-the-top chocolate bar cake isn’t technically new, but the Costco bakery is decorating it for Valentine’s Day, which means you have the perfect excuse to snag one. With layers of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, white chocolate mousse, brownie chunks, and chocolate ganache, the Tuxedo Chocolate Mousse Cake is sure to impress at any Galentine’s gatherings.
Crispy Kimchi Pancake
When you want something that packs serious savory flavor, make sure to grab this pack of premade pancakes from the freezer aisle. These kimchi jeon are, of course, packed with tangy kimchi, in addition to pieces of squid. They’re easy to quickly cook in a pan, and customers report that the edges come out crispy as promised, while the interior stays soft and tender.
