Hubballi-Dharwad Police have arrested three minor boys on the charge of repeatedly raping a minor girl.
The accused are all aged between 14 and 15.
The girl has been rescued and the three boys have been taken into custody, Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar told reporters in Hubballi on Sunday.
The incident happed in Dharwad district some time ago. The accused have been sent to a child correction facility.
One of the boys raped the girl who lived in the neighbourhood and videographed it on his mobile phone. He shared it with two of his friends who also raped her in the next two days.
They threatened to kill her and her relatives if she were to reveal what happened to her to anyone else. She did not tell her parents till she started suffering stomach pain.
Her mother inquired her in confidence and told her husband about what happened. They then complained to the police who arrested the accused.
