Juni Habel is a Norwegian singer-songwriter with an absolutely lovely new single out today. “Evergreen In Your Mind” is a song that ushers in calm. Habel’s voice is bright and clean like a blade of fresh glass — somewhere between Nick Drake and Julia Jacklin. The new song also turns out to be the title track of her forthcoming album that’s out April 10 via Basin Rock.
Evergreen In Your Mind is Habel’s third album and her first in three years. She co-produced the follow-up to 2023’s Carvings with Norwegian producer/musician Stian Skaaden.
“It’s nostalgic. It’s about looking back and realizing things will be different,” Habel said of the title track. “Its about visualizing something beautiful in your head that you keep clinging onto.”
