Man hacked to death – The Hindu

A 40-year-old man was hacked to death at Pozhiyur in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday evening following an altercation with his acquaintance. According to the Thiruvananthapuram rural police, the murder is suspected to have been committed by the accused due to a personal enmity. The deceased has been identified as Manoj, a native of Parassala. The accused, Sasidharan, a native of Pozhiyur and a coconut tree climber, hacked him to death using his machete. The accused has also gone into hiding after the murder. The victim has more than several cases pending against him at various police stations. The police have registered a case of murder and launched a hunt for the assailant.
