Grammys 2026: How Addison Rae, Alex Warren and More Scored Their Best New Artist Nominations

Alex Warren’s 2026 Grammys performance was a little out of the ordinary.

The Best New Artist nominee hit the stage for the first time during the ceremony inside of the Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 1 to perform his song“Ordinary”—but not without experiencing some technical difficulties.

In a video shared on TikTok following his performance, Alex wrote, “When you’re performing at the Grammys and all you hear is this in your in ears,” alongside a clip of the layered version of his song.

Alex captioned his Feb. 1 video, “This would only happen to me…”

Alex took the stage amongst his group of fellow Best New Artist nominees including Leon Thomas, Addison Rae, The Marias, KATSEYE, Lola Young, Sombr and winner Olivia Dean. As Alex made his way through the audience and onto a raised platform, he fell a half a beat behind while singing. At one point, the 25-year-old was seen adjusting his mic pack and then pulling out his in-ear device.
