Hilton is positioning itself for a transformative year across the Asia Pacific region in 2026, rolling out a diverse collection of new hotels that reflect how travel habits are changing across some of the world’s most dynamic markets. The upcoming openings span metropolitan centres, coastal retreats, island resorts, and airport-linked locations, underscoring a strategy that prioritises flexibility, local relevance, and experience-led stays.

Across the region, travellers are redefining what makes a journey meaningful. Rather than focusing solely on rest or sightseeing, many are seeking shared experiences, cultural immersion, and accommodation that acts as a gateway to the destination itself. Hotels are increasingly expected to offer engaging spaces for dining, relaxation, wellness, and social interaction, blurring the line between lodging and lifestyle.

India continues to play a central role in Hilton’s regional growth plans. The opening of a large resort property in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley marked a shift toward resort-style hospitality in emerging urban corridors. Located within a fast-growing innovation zone, the property combines leisure infrastructure with family-oriented experiences and multiple dining concepts. Its design and programming aim to attract a mix of domestic leisure travellers, corporate retreats, and extended-stay guests.

The evolution of lifestyle-focused accommodation in India will continue with the introduction of a Curio Collection hotel in Bengaluru. Drawing inspiration from the tranquillity of southern India’s coffee-growing regions, the hotel is located within the city’s technology district and is designed around open layouts, relaxed communal areas, and informal dining environments. The concept reflects growing demand for hotels that support slower, more intentional travel while remaining close to commercial hubs.

Southeast Asia remains a key region for leisure development. In Malaysia, a new beachfront resort in Langkawi will expand Hilton’s resort footprint with a property set between rainforest terrain and the Andaman Sea. Designed to encourage longer stays, the resort will offer a wide variety of accommodation options, wellness amenities, and facilities tailored to families and multi-generational groups. The natural setting forms a central part of the guest experience, aligning with rising interest in nature-based travel.

China’s upcoming openings highlight a focus on heritage-led hospitality. In Luoyang, a Curio Collection hotel will be situated within a culturally significant district, offering guests close access to historic landmarks while integrating local narratives into the hotel experience. Positioned along the waterfront, the hotel is intended to support both business and leisure demand, offering practical accommodation alongside recreational facilities. The development reflects growing confidence in Suva’s role as a regional centre for commerce and travel.

Airport-connected hotels form another important pillar of Hilton’s regional strategy. In southern China, a new hotel at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport will offer direct access to an upcoming terminal, providing a convenient option for transit passengers and short-stay visitors. In Japan, a Hilton Garden Inn in Yokohama will be located near transport links, exhibition venues, and entertainment districts, catering to event-driven travel and business mobility.

Japan’s resort portfolio will also expand with the addition of a Canopy by Hilton property on Okinawa’s Miyako Island. Located close to regional airports, the resort will feature dining venues, spa facilities, rooftop leisure spaces, and amenities designed for families and groups. Flexible event areas will allow the resort to host celebrations and retreats, reinforcing Miyako Island’s position as a premium leisure destination.

Elsewhere in Asia, Hilton will continue to strengthen its urban presence. A new hotel in Lucknow will deepen the brand’s footprint in northern India, supporting growing demand from both domestic travellers and business visitors. Thailand will see the debut of the Canopy by Hilton brand in Bangkok, introducing a lifestyle-oriented hotel centred on social interaction, contemporary dining, and elevated rooftop spaces.

Vietnam’s pipeline includes an all-villa retreat near Hoi An, positioned along the Coco River. Designed as a Tapestry Collection property, the resort will focus on privacy, wellness, and immersion in natural surroundings. Villa-style accommodation and thoughtfully designed amenities will appeal to travellers seeking seclusion without sacrificing access to cultural attractions.

In Australasia, Hilton will expand its leisure offerings with a new resort in Palm Cove near Cairns, complementing its existing presence in the region. New Zealand will welcome a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in central Auckland, providing modern accommodation, dining facilities, and meeting spaces suited to both business and leisure travel. Singapore will also see a notable addition with the redevelopment of a riverfront property into DoubleTree Singapore Robertson Quay, featuring upgraded rooms and enhanced recreational amenities.

Together, these developments illustrate Hilton’s long-term commitment to Asia Pacific.
