Morocco has plans to host around 80,000 Indian travelers in 2026, adding to the already impressive numbers of 54,000 Indian citizens who visited in 2025. This number increased by 31% over the previous year. This 2025 increase was the result of sustained promotional activities, the introduction of the e-visa system, and the increasing collaboration with Indian tour operators.
Morocco’s Indian Tourism Numbers Keep Climbing
Morocco has a daily visitor average of 20 million, and in 2025, the number of Indian citizens who visited rose markedly to 54,000 from 41,000 in 2024. The increase was a result of promotional activities from the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) and the setting up of an India-specific tourism office in 2023, along with the collaboration of Indian tour operators. This resulted in a 123% increase in the number of Indian tourists to Morocco in 2024 compared to 2023.
The increasing number of travelers from India is largely due to the successful marketing campaign and the implementation of an e-visa system that enables travelers to obtain their visas in a matter of hours or within four working days. Consequently, travelers from India looking for an immersive travel experience now consider Morocco as one of the top travel destinations.

Morocco’s growing focus and segmentation in the travel industry from India is in line with the projected growth for Morocco in 2026. Among the Indian travelers, one of the strongest segments is the group travel segment. Therefore, with the new possible connecting options, flight travel to Morocco from India is becoming more and more reasonable and is likely to attract further travel from India to Morocco.
