Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said fuel supplies across the district were stable on Friday. Anupam Kashyap chaired a review meeting on LPG, petrol and diesel. Anupam Kashyap said there was no shortage anywhere. Anupam Kashyap said deliveries were continuing without disruption.

The review came amid reports that the West Asia conflict was affecting LPG cylinder movement in parts of India. Anupam Kashyap asked residents to avoid needless stocking and hoarding. Anupam Kashyap said about 14 vehicles carrying LPG cylinders were sent to all subdivisions on Friday.
Shimla LPG supply review: domestic and commercial cylinders
Anupam Kashyap said 4,488 domestic gas cylinders were received on Friday. Of these, 4,249 were sent to different parts of the district. Anupam Kashyap said Shimla district had 8,382 domestic gas cylinders available at present. Officials reviewed distribution to ensure steady access in all areas.
Anupam Kashyap said commercial LPG stocks were also monitored during the meeting. Officials dispatched 521 commercial cylinders on Friday. Another 499 commercial cylinders remained available for supply. Anupam Kashyap said hospitals and educational institutions would get priority for these cylinders.
Shimla airport cleanliness: Airport Environment Management Committee directions
Separately, Anupam Kashyap chaired a meeting of the Airport Environment Management Committee. Anupam Kashyap asked officials to improve garbage collection near Shimla airport. The airport is at Jubarhatti, around 22 km from the state capital. Anupam Kashyap said local councils and other stakeholders should support cleanliness efforts.
Anupam Kashyap urged the airport management to run special awareness drives. Anupam Kashyap said the campaigns should target children in nearby schools. The campaigns should also reach the wider public living around the airport area. Officials discussed steps to keep the surroundings cleaner and better managed.
Shimla airport wildlife activity: leopard cages and building rules
A detailed report on wildlife activity near Shimla airport was placed before the committee. The report said the airport management was purchasing cages to capture leopards. The work was being done with cooperation from the forest department. The committee discussed safety needs linked to animal movement around the runway zone.
Anupam Kashyap also reminded members about construction rules near the airport. Anupam Kashyap said no-objection certificates from the airport management were mandatory. The requirement applied to building construction in the area. Officials noted the rule while reviewing steps for safe operations and orderly development.
