Bhatti meets Odisha’s CM over thermal power generation

HYDERABAD

The Telangana Government would explore the possibilities of setting up a pit head thermal power plant at the Naini coal block, operated by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said.

He said this during a meeting with Odisha’s Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi here on Friday. Mr. Vikramarka said that a delegation of the Energy Department officials would visit the Naini area soon and prepare proposals so that the Telangana Government could take a decision.

Principal Secretary (Energy) Navin Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL D. Krishna Bhaskar, and a few directors of Singareni were present during the meeting.
