identified
as
Rana
Pratap
Bairagi.

shooting

time
at
Kopalia
Bazar.
The
attack
reportedly
unfolded
in
full
public
view,
yet
the
assailants
escaped,

authorities

district
on
December
31,
Hindu
medical
shop
owner
Khokon
Das
was
returning
home
after
closing
the
store.
A
mob
allegedly
attacked,
stabbed
and
beat
Das,
then
poured
petrol,
set
Das
on
fire,
and
Das
later
died
at
Dhaka
Medical
College
Hospital.
On
December
18,
27-year-old
Hindu
garment
worker
Dipu
Chandra
Das
was
lynched
in
Bhaluka,
Mymensingh
district.
Police
and
media
reports
said
Das
was
accused
at
a
factory
event
of
making
insulting
remarks
about
Islam.
A
large
group
reportedly
beat
Das,
stripped
Das
naked,
hanged
Das
from
a
tree
and
then
burned
the
body.

limited
to
killings.
In
Kaliganj
in
central
Bangladesh,
a
40-year-old
Hindu
woman
alleged
in
a
police
complaint
that
two
men
gangraped
the
woman,
tied
the
woman
to
a
tree
and
cut
the
woman’s
hair.
The
attack
allegedly
followed
a
land
dispute,
and
Bangladesh
Pratidin
reported
that
two
suspects
were
arrested.

Kurigram
