Several
parts
of
Bengaluru
will
experience
a
planned
power
cut
on
Saturday,
January
11,
as
electricity
supply
will
be
temporarily
suspended
due
to
emergency
maintenance
work.
Bangalore
Electricity
Supply
Company
Limited
(BESCOM)
has
announced
that
the
shutdown
is
necessary
to
ensure
safety
during
repairs
on
high-voltage
transmission
lines.

According
to
BESCOM,
power
supply
will
remain
suspended
from
8:00
am
to
6:00
pm
in
the
affected
areas.
Residents
have
been
advised
to
make
necessary
arrangements
in
advance,
as
electricity
will
be
unavailable
for
most
of
the
day
and
essential
services
may
be
disrupted.

On
January
11,
several
areas
in
Bengaluru
will
experience
a
power
cut
from
8:00
am
to
6:00
pm
due
to
emergency
maintenance
by
KPTCL
on
the
66/11
kV
network,
affecting
areas
like
Tarabanahalli,
Hurulichikkanahalli,
and
Soladevanahalli;
BESCOM
advises
residents
to
prepare
for
disruptions
and
contact
1912
for
information.

power
cut
is
linked
to
emergency
maintenance
work
being
carried
out
by
Karnataka
Power
Transmission
Corporation
Limited
(KPTCL)
on
the
66/11
kV
network.
The
work
involves
key
substations
and
transmission
lines
connected
to
Soladevanahalli,
Puttenahalli
and
Peenya
1
and
2,
which
supply
electricity
to
large
parts
of
north
Bengaluru.

Areas
expected
to
be
affected
include
Tarabanahalli,
Hurulichikkanahalli,
TB
Cross,
Hesaraghatta,
Bilijaji,
Dwarakanagar,
Chikkabanavara,
Maruti
Nagar,
Ganapathi
Nagar,
Shanthinagar,
Brothers
Colony,
Krishna
College
Road,
Raghavendra
Layout,
Sasuveghatta
and
Bajjappa
Layout.

Other
locations
such
as
Shivakumaraswamiji
Layout,
Guddadahalli,
Dasenahalli,
Thotagere
Basavanna
Temple
area,
Hosahalli
Palya,
CDPO,
Danish
Farm,
KMF,
Pashusangopane
and
Guniagrahara
will
also
see
power
disruption
during
the
same
period.

BESCOM
has
also
listed
Somashitihalli,
Ganigarahalli,
Keregudda
Line,
KT
Pur,
IIHR,
Mathkoor,
Aivarakondapura,
Seetakempanahalli,
Linganahalli,
Madappanahalli,
Kalenahalli
Shivakote
village,
Mavallipura,
Kondashettihalli
and
Madhugirivehalli
among
the
affected
areas.

In
addition,
places
around
Soladevanahalli,
including
Kurubarhalli,
Pakegowdanapalya,
Raghavendra
Dhama,
Bylakere,
Acharya
College
Main
Road
and
Achyuth
Nagar,
will
also
face
the
outage.

BESCOM
has
requested
residents
to
cooperate
during
the
shutdown
and
advised
consumers
to
charge
mobile
phones,
power
banks,
laptops
and
other
essential
devices
in
advance.
