Bengaluru
weather
continues

remain
cold
as
a
sharp
chill
tightens
its
grip
across
Karnataka,
with
minimum
temperatures
in
the
capital
dipping
to
around
14
degrees
Celsius.
Light
drizzle
in
a
few
parts
of
Bengaluru,
combined
with
misty
mornings
and
dry
winds,
has
added
to
discomfort
for
residents
over
the
past
two
days.

The
cold
spell
is
no
longer
limited
to
night
hours.
Daytime
temperatures
in
Bengaluru
have
also
dropped
below
normal
levels,
while
thick
cloud
cover
has
persisted
over
the
city.
Several
areas
reported
fog
during
early
morning
hours,
affecting
visibility
and
daily
routines.

Bengaluru
and
north
interior
Karnataka
are
experiencing
chilly
weather,
with
the
India
Meteorological
Department
forecasting
light
rain
on
January
11
and
issuing
a
yellow
alert
for
northern
districts
due
to
cold
winds.
Bengaluru’s
minimum
temperature
is
expected
around
15
degrees
Celsius,
while
districts
like
Bidar,
Kalaburagi,
and
Vijayapura
face
cold
conditions.

According

the

Meteorological
Department
(IMD),
cold
winds
and
misty
conditions
are
likely
to
continue
in
parts
of
Karnataka
till
January
14.
While
south
interior
Karnataka
may
receive
light
rain
over
the
next
couple
of
days,
the
showers
are
expected
to
be
brief
and
patchy,
offering
little
relief
from
the
cold.

IMD
has
issued
a
yellow
alert
for
Bidar,
Kalaburagi,
Dharwad
and
Vijayapura,
warning
of
severe
cold
conditions.
Residents
in
these
districts
have
been
advised
to
remain
cautious,
especially
during
early
mornings
and
late
evenings.

Karnataka

Despite
occasional
drizzle,
Bengaluru
weather
is
expected
to
remain
largely
dry
over
the
coming
days,
with
cold
air
and
cloud
cover
keeping
temperatures
low.
Several
south

districts,

and
Rural,
Mysuru,
Mandya,
Ramanagara,
Tumakuru,
Chikkaballapur
and
Kolar,
are
also
experiencing
dry
but
chilly
conditions.

Coastal
Karnataka,
covering
Udupi,
Dakshina
Kannada
and
Uttara
Kannada,
is
witnessing
dry
weather
as
well.
Even
though
daytime
sunshine
is
present
along
the
coast,
the
overall
air
remains
cool,
in
line
with
the
broader
Karnataka
weather
pattern.

North
interior
Karnataka
remains
cold
and
dry

North
interior
Karnataka
continues
to
face
persistent
dry
weather,
along
with
cold
winds.
Districts
such
as
Belagavi,
Bagalkote,
Gadag,
Haveri,
Koppal,
Raichur,
Yadgir
and
Ballari
are
expected
to
remain
dry
for
the
next
few
days
under
the
current
Karnataka
weather
forecast.

Overall,
Karnataka
is
going
through
an
extended
cold
spell,
with
Bengaluru
weather
marked
by
low
temperatures,
mist
and
occasional
drizzle.
With
the
yellow
alert
in
place
for
select
northern
districts
and
dry
conditions
elsewhere,
the
IMD
indicates
that
cold
conditions
are
likely
to
persist
across
the
state
at
least
till
mid-January.
