Black Label Society will release a new album titled Engines of Demolition on March 27th via MNRK Heavy.
The band’s 13th studio album features 13 tracks (plus two bonus tracks) and notably a song titled “Ozzy’s Song,” which comes at the end of the standard tracklist and is an apparent tribute to the late Prince of Darkness.

BLS leader Zakk Wylde was Ozzy’s guitarist from the late ’80s onward, first appearing on 1988’s No Rest for the Wicked. He was also by Ozzy’s side during his final performance at Black Sabbath’s “Back to the Beginning” concert last year.

“It was definitely pretty amazing,” said Wylde last July, reflecting on the concert. “Seeing Oz onstage when Sabbath got done, that’s the last time I saw him. … I’m blessed and grateful, man. Anything other than that would be selfish.”
He added: “Whether I was playing with him or not, if Sharon called me and my wife up and said, ‘Guys, can you watch the house while we’re away on a business trip?’ I’d do it. It’s like, ‘If you need me to bring milk and eggs over, I’ll do it.’”
Wylde continues to carry on Ozzy’s legacy with his tribute band Zakk Sabbath, which is a part of Black Label Society’s upcoming tour package. Yep, that means Wylde and company will be pulling double duty each night, with dates kicking off February 27th in San Antonio, Texas. Get tickets here.
