were
initiated.
The
crash
led
to
a
massive
fire,
creating
panic
among
passengers
travelling
on
the
bus.
Tyre
Burst
Leads
to
Deadly
Collision
The
accident
took
place
shortly
after
midnight
near
Sirivellametta
in
Sirivella
mandal.
The
private
bus
was
travelling
from
Nellore
to
Hyderabad
with
around
36
passengers
on
board.
According
to
initial
reports,
the
bus
suffered
a
tyre
burst
while
moving
at
high
speed
on
the
highway.

Due
to
the
sudden
tyre
burst,
the
driver
lost
control
of
the
vehicle.
The
bus
crossed
the
road
divider
and
crashed
head-on
into
a
container
lorry
coming
from
the
opposite
direction.
The
impact
was
extremely
strong,
and
both
vehicles
caught
fire
soon
after
the
collision.
Three
Killed,
Passengers
Escape
Narrowly
The
bus
driver,
the
container
lorry
driver,
and
the
lorry
cleaner
were
killed
on
the
spot.
Their
bodies
were
badly
burnt
in
the
fire,
making
identification
difficult.
In
a
brave
act,
a
DCM
vehicle
driver
passing
through
the
area
stopped
immediately
after
noticing
the
accident.
He
broke
open
the
windows
of
the
burning
bus,
helping
several
passengers
escape
in
time.
More
than
10
passengers
were
injured
while
jumping
out
of
the
bus
to
save
themselves
from
the
flames.
Rescue
Operations
and
Medical
Aid
Police
reached
the
accident
site
soon
after
receiving
information
about
the
crash.
Fire
department
teams
were
also
rushed
to
the
spot
and
worked
to
bring
the
fire
under
control.
The
injured
passengers
were
rescued
and
shifted
to
the
Nandyal
Government
Hospital
for
treatment.
Officials
said
their
condition
is
stable.
An
investigation
has
been
initiated
to
determine
the
exact
cause
of
the
accident.
