The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) management has made elaborate arrangements for the annual Brahmotsavam to be held from February 8 to 16 at Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram.

TTD’s Joint Executive Officer V. Veerabrahmam, who reviewed the arrangements at the temple here on Wednesday, instructed the officials to undertake extensive publicity through campaign vehicles in the nearby villages to encourage local participation.

He also pointed out the need to spread the information widely on TTD’s propagation arms such as Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) and social media platforms on the unique features of the temple and the grandeur of its ‘Vahana Sevas’ (colourful processions).

While stressing on the need to make arrangements on the lines of Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams, he directed the engineering wing to erect electrical illuminations all over Tirupati and the road leading to Srinivasa Mangapuram.

Sobha Yatra

Meanwhile, the ‘Sobha Yatra’ will be carried out on February 12, where the ‘Lakshmi Haram’ adorned to the Tirumala deity will be brought down the hills and paraded on the roads of Tirupati up to the temple, for the auspicious ‘Garuda Seva’. Similarly, the ‘Godha Devi Mala’ (floral garland) will also be brought to the temple.

Mr. Veerabrahmam directed the vigilance and security officials to coordinate with the local Chandragiri police and inspect the procession route well in advance to avoid any untoward incidents. The officer also asked the Special Grade Deputy Executive Officer V. Varalakshmi and Chief Public Relations Officer T. Ravi to coordinate with the line departments to ensure hassle-free conduct of the nine-day festival.

Temple priest Balaji Rangacharyulu, Deputy Executive Officers V.R. Shanti, R. Selvam, SVBC in-charge Chief Executive Officer D. Phanikumar Naidu, Superintending Engineer (Electrical) K. Venkateswarlu, Vigilance Guard Officer B. Giridhar also took part in the review meeting.
