“I
assure
you
all
that
the
money
will
be
used
properly,
transparently,
and
all
the
details
will
be
placed
before
you,” Abdullah
stated.
He
reiterated
that
distribution
would
depend
on
damage
extent
and
sectoral
requirements.
Focus
on
Sectoral
Needs
During
the
meeting,
ministers
Sakina
Itoo,
Javid
Ahmed
Dar,
and
Satish
Sharma,
along
with
Chief
Secretary
Atal
Dulloo
and
senior
officials,
discussed
policy
interventions
for
balanced
growth.
Abdullah
highlighted
that
these
consultations
aim
to
ensure
elected
representatives’
meaningful
participation
in
shaping
government
priorities.
Abdullah
clarified
that
constituency-specific
issues
would
be
addressed
during
budget
discussions
in
the
assembly.
“Whether
it
is
the
establishment
of
a
degree
college,
irrigation-related
works
or
other
sectoral
issues,
answers
will
come
when
the
concerned
ministers
present
their
grants
in
the
House,” he
explained.
Legislators’ Concerns
MLAs
from
Jammu
and
Samba
districts
raised
various
issues
needing
attention
in
the
upcoming
budget.
They
prioritised
road
projects,
health
and
educational
institution
upgrades,
sports
infrastructure
enhancement,
potable
water
provision,
tourist
destination
development,
healthcare
facility
strengthening,
and
new
colleges
and
schools
establishment.
The
elected
representatives
stressed
improving
basic
amenities
and
accelerating
socio-economic
development
across
urban
and
rural
areas.
They
appreciated
Abdullah’s
initiative
for
pre-budget
consultations
to
incorporate
grassroots
perspectives
into
the
budgetary
framework.
Commitment
to
Inclusive
Development
The
chief
minister
assured
legislators
that
genuine
concerns
and
constructive
suggestions
would
be
examined
for
inclusion
in
the
upcoming
budget.
This
commitment
aims
to
ensure
inclusive
and
regionally
balanced
development
across
Jammu
and
Kashmir.
Abdullah
noted
that
these
meetings
are
for
consultation
rather
than
formal
responses.
“You
and
I
both
know
that
the
governments
response
to
district
development
board
meetings
does
not
figure
in
these
consultations.
The
objective
here
is
to
listen
to
you,
understand
your
views
and
thoughts,
and
then
translate
them
into
policy
and
action,” he
said.
The
chief
minister
reviewed
discussions
held
over
recent
days,
noting
that
most
issues
raised
were
not
repeated.
He
described
this
as
a
continuous
process
aimed
at
evolving
government
priorities
through
elected
representatives’
input.
