traffic
and
enhanced
security
for
the
Republic
Day
long
weekend,
prompting
flyers
to
plan
ahead.
Additionally,
Hyderabad
will
host
‘Wings
India
2026’
at
Begumpet
Airport
from
January
28–31,
with
Civil
Aviation
Minister
Rammohan
Naidu
inaugurating
the
event.

Rajiv
Gandhi
International
Airport
issued
a
passenger
advisory
on
Thursday,
January
22,
requesting
cooperation
from
flyers
to
help
avoid
last-minute
inconvenience.

Expect
Longer
Waits
at
Check-in
and
Security

With
Republic
Day
approaching
and
a
long
weekend
drawing
more
travellers,
airport
authorities
said
passengers
should
be
prepared
for
longer
queues
at
check-in
counters
and
security
checkpoints.
Enhanced
security
arrangements
are
in
place,
which
could
slow
down
routine
procedures
during
peak
hours.

In
the
advisory,
the
airport
urged
passengers
to
allow
sufficient
time
before
departure
and
noted,
“We
also
recommend
planning
your
commute
to
the
airport
in
advance”,
as
traffic
movement
around
the
airport
may
be
affected.

Passengers
were
also
reminded
that
airlines
remain
the
best
source
for
real-time
information
about
individual
flights.
The
advisory
stated,
“For
flight-specific
details,
please
contact
your
respective
airline”,
encouraging
travellers
to
check
directly
with
carriers
for
schedule
updates
or
changes.

2026
Set
to
Take
Off
in
Hyderabad

At
the
same
time,
Hyderabad
is
gearing
up
to
host
‘Wings
India
2026’,
Asia’s
largest
civil
aviation
event,
at
Begumpet
Airport
from
January
28
to
January
31.
The
four-day
event
will
spotlight
the
future
of
global
aviation
and
bring
together
key
players
from
across
the
industry.

The
event
will
be
inaugurated
by
Civil
Aviation
Minister
Rammohan
Naidu
in
the
presence
of
senior
officials
and
international
dignitaries.
Ministerial-level
foreign
delegations
and
official
representatives
from
more
than
20
countries
are
expected
to
attend,
underlining
Hyderabad’s
growing
role
as
a
hub
for
international
aviation
dialogue.
