It happened: Geese performed on SNL for the first time last night. The Brooklyn rock band performed “Au Pays Du Cocaine” and “Trinidad” from their album Getting Killed, one of the Best Albums Of 2025.
The episode was hosted by fellow SNL first-timer Teyana Taylor, the singer and actor who also just won her first Oscar for One Battle After Another. In a handful of music-related moments during the episode, she played an airline agent delivering annoying travel updates via song, and a frail elderly man who can’t help but dance to Earth, Wind, & Fire at his grandson’s wedding.
Elsewhere during the sketches, Ashley Padilla played a “confidence class” instructor who showed off her Dolly Parton impression, and in a pre-taped sketch Martin Herlihy taught us the pros and cons of dressing like a member of the Lumineers for a funeral.
