What is a Versant? Many of you were curious to know what that name meant, as it became the official name of Comcast/NBCUniversal’s spun-off linear cable network company. The name, revealed in May, was set to replace the placeholder name SpinCo, with Versant CEO Mark Lazarus describing the Versant name as “a blueprint for versatility, growth, and innovation.”
