A hotel in Vijayapura was gutted in an accidental fire on Monday. No casualties or injuries have been reported.
Sri Krishna Hotel on Solapur Road in Vijayapura caught fire, probably due to an electrical short circuit.
The fire that started in front of the hotel spread to the entire hotel in no time.
The entire hotel was engulfed in flames within a few minutes. Most of the items inside, including furniture, were completely burnt before the fire brigade reached the spot.
Additional damage was caused by some gas cylinders catching fire. The fire has been extinguished now.
