The
event
underscored
growing
collaboration
between
Punjab
and
Japan,
while
highlighting
Punjab’s
push
to
attract
global
capital
and
create
fresh
employment
opportunities
for
youth.

Mann
described
the
response
from
Japanese
industry
as
a
clear
signal
of
confidence
in
Punjab’s
investment
climate.
He
said
the
state
now
offers
a
stable,
predictable
and
transparent
environment
for
businesses
that
value
quick
decisions
and
reliable
governance.
According
to
Mann,
Punjab
wants
long-term
partnerships
rather
than
short-term
gains,
with
investors
treated
as
key
partners
in
the
state’s
growth
journey.

visit

highlights

Linking
the
Osaka
discussions
to
broader
India–Japan
ties,
Mann
said
the
partnership
of
leading
Japanese
companies
reflects
strong
backing
for
deeper
economic
engagement
between
the
two
countries.
He
stressed
that
global
investors
are
noticing
Punjab’s
progressive
industrial
policies,
integrated
single-window
system
and
investment-ready
projects.
Mann
said
the
state
government’s
central
objective
is
to
generate
quality
jobs
for
youth
while
building
a
secure,
dependable
setting
for
investors.

Recalling
years
of
cooperation
with
Japanese
firms,
Mann
pointed
out
that
Punjab
already
hosts
investments
from
several
well-known
Japanese
companies,
and
that
these
links
are
steadily
expanding.
He
said
Punjab
has
emerged
as
one
of
the
world’s
preferred
investment
destinations
due
to
investor-friendly
reforms.
Mann
highlighted
the
state’s
location
near
the
national
capital,
good
highway
and
rail
connectivity
to
major
ports,
strong
industrial
clusters,
uninterrupted
power
supply,
skilled
human
resources
and
a
supportive
policy
framework.

Punjab
investment
policies,
infrastructure
and
single-window
reforms

The
Chief
Minister
outlined
the
governance
and
regulatory
changes
introduced
to
simplify
doing
business
in
Punjab.
He
highlighted
the
Fast-Track
Punjab
Single-Window
System,
which
currently
offers
more
than
173
G2B
services.
The
system
supports
auto-deemed
approvals,
PAN-based
business
identifiers
and
time-bound
clearances
through
amendments
to
the
Punjab
Right-to-Business
Act,
giving
investors
clarity
and
faster
permissions.

Mann
said
these
reforms
are
matched
by
major
improvements
in
industrial
infrastructure.
Through
Invest
Punjab,
the
state
has
already
secured
grounded
investment
worth
over
₹1.4
lakh
crore
across
multiple
sectors.
Mann
reiterated
a
commitment
to
policy
stability,
efficient
decision-making
and
a
governance
structure
that
respects
investors’
time
and
trust,
aiming
to
keep
Punjab
the
preferred
choice
for
global
industry.

Punjab

visit
meetings

Mann
said
Punjab’s
approach
to
investment
is
based
on
partnership
with
industry,
not
one-sided
decision-making.
The
government
works
closely
with
businesses,
listens
to
their
concerns
and
focuses
on
acting
as
a
catalyst
for
growth.
According
to
Mann,
sustainable
industrial
expansion
is
possible
only
when
the
government
and
industry
function
as
equal
partners
with
shared
responsibilities
and
clear
communication.

Explaining
how
this
thinking
shaped
policy,
Mann
said
Punjab’s
new
industrial
policy
introduced
in
2022
followed
extensive
consultations
with
industry
leaders
and
stakeholders.
The
policy
was
framed
to
directly
address
sector
needs
and
expectations.
The
state
has
also
formed
24
sectoral
committees
headed
by
industry
leaders
to
draft
and
refine
sector-specific
policies,
ensuring
regular
feedback
from
the
ground.

Mann
said
such
initiatives
are
opening
new
opportunities
for
Punjab
in
northern
India
by
highlighting
successful
projects
and
the
state’s
long-term
economic
vision.
He
invited
potential
partners
to
join
Punjab’s
planned
growth
path
up
to
2035.
During
the
Osaka
visit,
Mann
also
met
Air
Water
Inc.
to
discuss
cooperation
in
industrial
gases
and
engineering
equipment,
exploring
fresh
projects
with
Japanese
technology
and
expertise.

The
Chief
Minister’s
schedule
in
Osaka
also
included
official
talks
with
the
Osaka
Chamber
of
Commerce
and
Industry
to
examine
partnerships
in
trade,
technology
and
SME
cooperation.
Mann
met
Tokushima
Auction
Market
and
Global
Venture
Company
Limited
on
modernising
agricultural
markets
and
strengthening
supply-chain
partnerships.
Senior
Japanese
dignitaries
attended
the
Osaka
Business
Roadshow
and
reception,
including
the
Director
General
and
Deputy
Director
General
of
JETRO,
officials
from
the
Department
of
Commerce,
Industry
and
Labor
of
the
Osaka
Prefectural
Government,
and
the
Director
General
of
the
International
Affairs
Division
of
METI
Kansai.

Looking
ahead,
Mann
invited
Japanese
investors
to
join
the
Progressive
Punjab
Investor
Summit
2026,
scheduled
from
March
13
to
15,
2026
at
the
Indian
School
of
Business,
Mohali.
He
said
the
summit
will
showcase
Punjab’s
progress,
offer
a
platform
for
leading
industrial
players
and
present
new
collaboration
opportunities.
Mann
expressed
confidence
that
strong
Japanese
participation
will
further
support
Punjab’s
industrial
development
and
deepen
economic
ties
with
Japan.
