John Slattery will always make time for one of his Hollywood besties.
The Mad Men alum reunited with his former costar Jon Hamm in the new comedy Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass—an official selection of the Premieres at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival—raving that he had “the best” experience working with his old scene partner again.
“It’s always super fun,” John told E! News’ Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview in Park City, Utah, Jan. 25. “No overt communication necessary.”
In fact, Jon, 54, had a straightforward pitch to get the 63-year-old to sign onto the project, in which a bride-to-be (Zoey Deutch) seeks revenge on her fiancé (Michael Cassidy) for using his celebrity “hall pass” ahead of their wedding.
“He actually called me about this and said, ‘David Wayne wrote a script—he wants to send it to you,’” John continued. “I said, ‘Send it.’ I was in Budapest, it was the middle of the night, I was jetlagged. He sent me the script and I read it at 1 in the morning, then called him back immediately and said, ‘I’m in.’”
