Los Ángeles Azules, Luck Ra and Yami Safdie celebrate their first collaborative No. 1, as “Si Sabes Contar” climbs 4-1 on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Airplay chart (dated Feb. 21). The achievement marks the seventh chart-topper for Los Ángeles Azules, while Luck Ra secures his first No. 1 on a Billboard U.S. chart, and Safdie scores a first No. 1 overall.
“Si Sabes Contar” was released last September on Promotodo/Virgin Music Latin, giving the major label its first champ since Los Ángeles Azules and Emilia’s “Perdonarte Para Qué” cruised to No. 1 for one week in July 2024.
“Si Sabes Contar” ascends after a 15% week-on-week gain, with 6.7 million audience impressions registered in the United States during the tracking week ending Feb. 12, as reported by Luminate.
Notably, through their regional Mexican cumbia collabs, the Mejía Avante siblings of Los Ángeles Azules have taken seven artists to their maiden No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay: Natalia Lafourcade, Cazzu, Emilia, Thalia and most recently, Argentinians Safdie and Luck Ra, all have traditionally recorded non-regional Mexican music, including rapper Santa Fe Klan, who melds regional Mexican music with trap, hip-hop and Latin rhythm sounds. With “Si Sabes Contar,” Luck Ra picks up his first leader on a U.S. chart, following his track record of four No. 1s on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100. The Argentinian had a standout moment in 2025 with “Tu Misterioso Alguien (Cuarteto),” with electropop band Miranda!, which tied with La T y La M’s Amor de Vago,” featuring Malandro, for the longest command in the year –both reigning for 12 weeks at No. 1.
Safdie also celebrates a career-best, marking her highest placement yet on a Billboard U.S. chart. Earlier in 2025, she reached No. 15 through “Querida Yo,” with Camilo, on the Latin Pop Airplay chart.
In addition to its success on Regional Mexican Airplay, “Si Sabes Contar” lifts both Luck Ra and Safdie to new peaks on the overall Latin Airplay chart, leaping from No. 8 to No. 5. Meanwhile, Los Ángeles Azules continue securing their legacy, adding 11th career top 10 there.
