Loud Luxury Delivers a Mashup-filled Afterparty at SXSW with Cheetos®

On March 13, Cheetos® and Billboard transformed The Mohawk into one of the most vibrant spots in downtown Austin, celebrating the return of Cheetos® Flamin’ Hot® Dill Pickle with an afterparty that blended live energy and culture-forward programming. The room was packed — quickly becoming the party to be at in downtown Austin as guests filled every corner of the venue.

Neon lighting bathed the venue in a Cheetos® Flamin’ Hot® red and Dill Pickle green glow as guests flowed between the bar and the dance floor, where a stacked DJ lineup set the tone and built anticipation for the night’s headlining act.

Just before midnight, the masterful mashup duo, Loud Luxury took the stage with a rapid-fire mashup set that jumped between throwbacks and club anthems in unexpected combinations. The genre-swerving approach mirrored the spirit of Cheetos® Flamin’ Hot® Dill Pickle — an unexpected pairing that delivers something spicy. The dance floor remained locked in throughout the set, with hands up as the crowd embraced the night’s celebratory energy.

Offstage, interactive activations extended the experience beyond the music. Signature cocktails — the Pickle’s Back Margarita, The Dill Shot, Cheetle Kick and Flamin’ Hot Fizz — circulated among guests as they tested their aim at pickle-toss and pop-shot stations, enjoyed samplings of Cheetos® Flamin’ Hot® Dill Pickle Crunch and Puffs. The karaoke competition hosted by Billboard host, Tetris Kelly, emerged as a highlight, with participants delivering standout performances of “Bye, Bye, Bye” and “Move Along” that sparked crowd sing-alongs. A surprise appearance by Chester Cheetah at the karaoke stage amplified the playful energy.
