Lucinda Williams Joined Yo La Tengo For Last Night’s Hanukkah Show

Date:

Yo La Tengo has been hosting a big Hanukkah celebration at Bowery Ballroom for years. This year there’s been plenty of surprise guests and tributes, including the National singer Matt Berninger, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Built To Spill’s Doug Martsch, Norah Jones, and Nate Amos‘ This is Lorelei. Last night they welcomed Lucinda Williams and David Mansfield to perform “Tears Are In Your Eyes” from 2000’s And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out and covers of Ohio Express’ “Yummy, Yummy, Yummy” and the Velvet Underground classic “Pale Blue Eyes.”
