A 33-year-old man was brutally hacked to death with lethal weapons at Salhalli village in Kalgi taluk of Kalaburagi district late on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Shankar Naranal, a resident of Kodli village.
According to the police, CCTV footage shows three men from Kodli village arriving towards Salhalli village on a motorcycle and two of them attacking Shankar with lethal weapons, killing him on the spot.
The exact motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained.
Kalgi Police, who visited the spot, carried out inspection.
A case has been registered. Efforts are on to arrest the accused, the police said.
