National Test House (NTH) has partnered with India Post to streamline the collection and delivery of raw materials and industrial goods samples to authorised labs. This collaboration aims to ensure safe, reliable, and timely transportation of samples, according to an official statement.
Currently, NTH provides testing, evaluation, and calibration services for raw materials and finished products through its branches in Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Varanasi. The partnership will enable India Post to offer doorstep sample pickup from customers nationwide and deliver them to NTH labs in these cities.
Enhancing Accessibility and Efficiency
The extensive postal network of India Post will be utilised to reach urban, rural, and remote areas across India. This strategic move is expected to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of NTH’s testing services by overcoming logistical challenges and reducing turnaround time.
Individuals and organisations can now send product samples for testing at NTH through this partnership. The initiative is anticipated to benefit various stakeholders such as consumers, manufacturers, MSMEs, startups, and businesses, especially those in remote or underserved regions.
Boosting Quality and Compliance
This collaboration is seen as a significant step towards improving the ease of doing business in India. It aims to strengthen consumer protection mechanisms while promoting a culture of quality, compliance, and standardisation across different sectors.
The partnership between NTH and India Post marks a crucial milestone in making quality testing services more accessible to all Indian citizens. It reinforces trust, transparency, and accountability within the marketplace.
