The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) held a formal swearing-in ceremony for the newly-appointed office bearers of Chittoor Parliamentary district unit, at their district office on Thursday.
Shanmukha Reddy, who hails from Nagari Assembly constituency, assumed charge as the district president, while Sunil Choudary took oath as the district general secretary, in the presence of party leaders, elected representatives, and cadres from across the district.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shanmukha Reddy said the party would focus on strengthening its organisational structure at the grassroots level in line with the leadership and vision of TDP national president and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and national general secretary Nara Lokesh. He stressed the need for coordinated functioning, discipline, and sustained public outreach to reinforce the party’s connection with people.
The event was attended by Chittoor MP D. Prasada Rao, Chittoor Mayor Amuda, MLAs Gurajala Jagan Mohan, Murali Mohan, and Gali Bhanu Prakash, MLC Kancherla Srikanth, APSRTC Vice-Chairman Muniratnam, former MLAs and MLCs, senior leaders, alliance partners, and party workers.
