Eight Congress MLAs from Odisha, who are camping in a resort on the outskirts of Bengaluru, visited Mysuru on Saturday.

The MLAs had been shifted to Bengaluru ahead of the March 16 elections to the Rajya Sabha to pre-empt the BJP from poaching them.

The MLAs, who arrived in Mysuru around 1.30 p.m. on Saturday with an escort vehicle, were taken to Chamundi Hills, where they offered prayers at the Chamundeshwari Temple.

Later, they had lunch at Government Guest House in Mysuru and proceeded to Karnataka Silk Industries Corporation showroom and later went around Mysuru palace. The guides of the Palace Board showed the visitors around the palace.

Before winding up their trip to Mysuru, the visitors were taken to Krishnaraja Sagar. They returned to the resort after going around Brindavan Gardens.

Congress leaders from Mysuru, including Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson M. Lakshman and Mysuru district Congress Committee president B.J. Vijaykumar accompanied the visiting MLAs.
