A one-day State-level consultative meeting for youth, leaders, and women representatives of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and forest-based indigenous communities was held at the Karnataka State Tribal Research Institute here on January 5.
Chairing the meeting, Minister for Public Works Satish Jarkiholi held discussions with tribal community leaders and officials. He received representations from tribal youths and reviewed the issues raised during the interaction.

He also stressed the need to expand skill-based training programmes for tribal communities and to organise awareness programmes on nutritious food and healthy dietary practices.
