A private travel ran over a divider and came to a halt on the opposite carriageway of the national highway on the outskirts of Kurnool early on Tuesday. All the 29 passengers in the bus and the crew were reported to be safe as no vehicle was passing on the other side, the police said.
The incident took place near the TIDCO houses, when the driver of the bus travelling to Hyderabad from Puducherry lost control over the steering, ran over the divider and went to the opposite side of the road. According to the police, rash driving and over-speeding has been suspected as the reason behind the accident. An alternate bus was arranged for the passengers.
