Prime Video India slate: Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt projects, returning series

Prime Video has announced an India line-up featuring projects with Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt, alongside returning seasons of Panchayat, Dahaad, and Farzi. Roshan will produce the feature film Mess and the series Storm under HRX Films, working with directors Rajesh A Krishnan and Ajitpal Singh.

Prime Video announced a wide India-focused slate on Thursday, mixing new films and series. The plan included projects with Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt. Prime Video also confirmed fresh seasons of popular shows. Returning titles included Panchayat, Dahaad and Farzi. The streamer also listed upcoming regional series and films due after cinema releases.

Prime Video has announced an India line-up featuring projects with Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt, alongside returning seasons of Panchayat, Dahaad, and Farzi. Roshan will produce the feature film Mess and the series Storm under HRX Films, working with directors Rajesh A Krishnan and Ajitpal Singh.

Several major returning series were highlighted early in the line-up. Prime Video said Panchayat 5 was in development. Season two renewals were announced for Farzi, Call Me Bae, Dupahiya, Dahaad and The Traitors. The slate also mentioned more titles, though Prime Video gave no release dates. The announcement was made at a press conference.

Prime Video India slate adds Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt projects

Hrithik teamed up with Prime Video for two titles produced by HRX Films. The projects included a feature film, Mess, and a series, Storm. Mess was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan of Lootcase fame. The film also starred Ranvir Shorey, Gajraj Rao and Anurag Thakur. Storm was helmed by Ajitpal Singh of Tabbar fame.

Im an actor and Ive a fear of failure. Every instinct in my body tells me, This is impossible. But I push through that impossibility and out of that space HRX was born to inspire people who face impossible challenges in their lives, like I did.But I sit on producers chair with HRX Films with a different feeling. I sit solely and purely out of love, my irreplaceable, irrevocable and unconditional love for cinema. Here is where I truly feel the freedom, Hrithik said at the Prime Video slate announcement press conference.

Alia also announced a Prime Video film backed by Eternal Sunshine Productions. The project, Dont be Shy, was described as a coming-of-age story. Ours is a small, passionate, and new production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions. Shaheen and I decided that we would like to give sunshine to the movies that the movies have given to us, Alia said.

Dont be Shy is a film that we cannot wait for the audience to see. At Eternal Sunshine, weve always wanted to back stories that feel honest and voices that feel their own, the actor said. Prime Video positioned the film as part of its wider Hindi slate. The streamer did not share additional casting or a launch timeline for the title.

Prime Video India brings Mirzapur: The Movie to cinemas

Prime Video also shared updates on Mirzapur: The Movie. The team said the film extended the Mirzapur series for theatres. Gurmmeet Singh directed the film after helming the show earlier. The script was written by Puneet Krishna. Cast members included Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyendu and Abhishek Banerjee.

After three years of immersing ourselves in the world of Mirzapur with such great characters, I think the moment that Puneet came with this idea of making a film, it felt he opened the door to a new world, Gurmmeet Singh said. It was amazing to be able to transport all these characters into a world with such a massive scale with sort of no holds bar where our imagination can take us where we want to go. Its amazing to share this with the audience on the big screen, he said.

The film line-up also listed Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Harshita Gaur. Pankaj Tripathi, who plays Kaleen bhaiya, said, This is happening for the first time that a series has been transformed into a film, this is truly special. Prime Video described the project as a big-screen expansion of a fan-favourite story.

Prime Video India and Amazon MGM Studios announce more theatrical films

Amazon MGM Studios announced five theatrical films as part of the plan. The list included Dilkashi by Malayalam filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery. Other titles were Yami Gautams Nayyi Navelli, Kunal Kemmus Vibe, Rajkummar Raos Raftaar and Karan Johars home production Kuku Ki Kundli. Kuku Ki Kundli starred Bhuvan Bam.

Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios International said, India is by far one of the most important markets for us anywhere around the world. It is one of our biggest Originals programmes anywhere in the world. Dilkashi was produced by Hansal Mehta and Sahil Saigal. The cast included Abhay Verma of Munjya fame and Zahan Kapoor.

Prime Video India slate expands with new Hindi series and films

The streamer listed several new Hindi series across genres. Welcome to Khoya Mahal was directed by Konkona Sensharma and Jaydeep Sarkar. The show featured Aditi Rao Hydari and Barun Sobti. Teen Kauwe starred Bobby Deol, Siddhant Gupta, Pavail Gulati and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The Revolutionaries was billed as Nikkhil Advanis magnum opus show.

The Revolutionaries starred Bhuvan Bam, Rohit Saraf, Pratibha Ranta and Gurfateh Pirzada. Other series included Matka King with Vijay Varma and Raakh featuring Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre and Aamir Bashir. Rafoo starred Maniesh Paul and Angira Dhar. Lukkhe marked rapper KING’s acting debut. Ravi Kishan and Aditya Rawal led Tax Department Story.

Prime Video also announced Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya, a comedy series. It featured Kay Kay Menon, Archana Puran Singh and Deven Bhojani. The slate included Vansh – The Kalyug Warriors. Prime Video called it Indias first Hindi homegrown superhero series created for streaming. The company also listed more films, including Richie Mehtas Phoolan and Sanya Malhotras Sundar Poonam.

Additional films announced included Ashiwny Iyer Tiwaris System. The cast listed Jyotika, Sonakshi Sinha and Ashutosh Gowariker. Prime Video also named Nimisha Sajayans ASI Babita Reporting. Two Hindi theatrical releases were also flagged for later streaming. Kartik Aaryans Naagzilla and VVAN – Force of the Forrest starring Siddharth Malhotra were set to arrive after cinema runs.

Prime Video India highlights regional series and post-theatrical south films

Regional projects were also part of the Prime Video plans. The line-up included a Telugu adaptation of The Traitors with Teja Sajja as host. Prime Video listed Guvvala Cheruvu Ghat, a Telugu drama starring Kiran Abbavaram and Thiruveer. It also announced a Tamil drama, Exam, plus season two of Vadhandhi and Inspector Rishi.

Several south-led films were slated to stream after theatrical release. Prime Video named Dulquer Salmans DQ41, Adivi Seshs Goodachari 2, and Dacoit – Oka Prem Katha. Shilangi Mukherji, Director & Head of SVOD Business, Prime Video India, shared viewing and growth data linked to the slate. India remained central to Prime Videos global growth, ranking among the top territories worldwide for attracting new Prime members in 2025.

Close to two-thirds of our customers watch content in more than four languages, reflecting the growing appetite for diverse storytelling.Our Indian content is resonating globally among customers as well, over half of the most-watched Top 50 non-English titles in 2025 came from Prime Video India, Mukherji said. Nikhil Madhok, director & head of Originals, Prime Video India, added: We continue to raise the bar for high-quality storytelling with narratives that are culturally rooted, relatable, and universally compelling, Madhok said.

Across the slate, Prime Video balanced new collaborations, returning hits and regional expansion. Hrithik and Alia added new producer-led projects for the service. Mirzapur: The Movie moved the franchise towards theatres. Prime Video also confirmed multiple renewals, fresh Hindi series and more regional stories, while several major films were set for streaming after cinema releases.
