Prince William Posts Unseen Photo of Princess Diana for Mother’s Day

Date:

Prince William is honoring his mom in a royally sweet way.

Indeed, the Prince of Wales shared an unseen picture of Princess Diana—who died when he was 15 in a fatal 1997 car crash—in a tender tribute for UK’s Mother’s Day.

“Remembering my mother, today and every day,” he captioned the throwback photo on Instagram March 15. “Thinking of all those who are remembering someone they love today. Happy Mother’s Day. W.”

In the snap, Diana crouches in a field of flowers as she holds baby William’s hand. The late royal—wearing a pair of blue jeans and a pink sweater—gives the camera a smile as William admires the plants surrounding them.

William’s recognition for his mom’s legacy comes weeks after he reflected on the “quite” difficult” aspect of parenting his and Kate Middleton’s kids Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7.

After all, William quipped that his three little ones talk about their feelings “sometimes too much” during a panel discussion for BBC Radio 1’s Life Hacks: Mental Health Special Feb. 18. “I get all the details, which I love, you know, it’s amazing.”
