rail
projects

been
successfully
completed
in
the
state.
The
new
27.45-km
railway
line
connecting
Roorkee
to
Deoband
has
been
commissioned,
featuring
new
stations
at
Banhera
Khas
and
Jhabrera.
This
development
marks
a
significant
step
in
enhancing
the
region’s
rail
connectivity.
Rail
Infrastructure
Enhancements
The
Rishikesh-Karnaprayag
rail
line
project,
spanning
125.20
km,
includes
12
stations,
35
bridges,
and
17
tunnels.
The
project
is
progressing
rapidly,
with
major
tunnel
work
almost
complete.
This
ambitious
project
aims
to
improve
transportation
in
the
region
significantly.
Redevelopment
efforts
are
also
underway
at
Harrawala,
Roorkee,
and
Kotdwar
railway
stations
under
the
Amrit
Bharat
Station
Scheme.
These
upgrades
aim
to
enhance
passenger
experience
and
accommodate
future
growth
in
rail
traffic.
Preparations
for
Ardh
Kumbh
During
the
meeting,
Chief
Minister
Dhami
emphasised
the
importance
of
timely
preparations
for
rail
and
passenger
facilities
ahead
of
next
year’s
Ardh
Kumbh.
Ensuring
better
amenities
for
devotees
and
passengers
is
a
priority
to
facilitate
smooth
travel
during
this
significant
event.
The
discussions
also
covered
strengthening
rail
infrastructure
in
Uttarakhand,
focusing
on
completed
projects,
ongoing
developments,
and
future
needs.
The
state’s
commitment
to
improving
its
railway
network
reflects
its
dedication

connectivity
