Reliance Industries Limited has announced that it is increasing production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at its refining and petrochemical facilities in Gujarat. The move comes at a time when global energy markets are facing uncertainty and supply disruptions.
Reliance Industries Limited is increasing LPG production at its Jamnagar, Gujarat facilities and diverting natural gas from the KG-D6 Basin to support priority sectors, collaborating with the Government of India to ensure domestic energy security amidst global market volatility.
In a media statement issued on March 10 from Mumbai, the company said it is working closely with the Government of India to ensure that essential fuel supplies remain stable for households and priority sectors across the country.
Jamnagar Refinery To Boost LPG Output
Reliance said it is maximising LPG production at its facilities in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The company operates the world’s largest integrated refining hub at the Jamnagar Refinery Complex.
According to the statement, teams at the refinery are working continuously to optimise operations and increase LPG output.

The goal is to ensure that domestic LPG supply remains stable and reliable, particularly at a time when global energy markets are experiencing volatility.
Natural Gas From KG-D6 Basin To Support Priority Sectors
In addition to increasing LPG production, Reliance said natural gas from the KG-D6 Basin will be diverted to support sectors considered critical under national energy priorities.
This step will be carried out in line with government guidelines to ensure that essential industries and services continue to receive adequate energy supply.
Officials said the allocation of natural gas will follow national priorities set by the government.
Supporting India’s Energy Security
Reliance emphasised that ensuring energy availability for Indian households remains a key responsibility during periods of global uncertainty.
The company stated that India’s energy security and the welfare of millions of families remain top priorities. By increasing LPG output and adjusting natural gas supply, the company aims to support the country’s fuel requirements during this challenging period.
Working With Government Guidelines
Reliance also highlighted that all measures are being taken in coordination with the Government of India and within national energy policies.
The company said it will continue to follow government guidelines and allocation priorities to ensure that fuel supplies reach the sectors and communities that need them most.
Commitment During Global Energy Uncertainty
The company concluded that it will continue to stand with the nation during periods of global energy uncertainty.
Reliance said it remains committed to doing everything possible to strengthen India’s energy security and ensure that households and businesses have reliable access to essential fuels.
