Russell Brand Hit with New Sexual Assault Charges After Appearing at Turning Point USA Event

Russell Brand has been charged with additional counts of rape and sexual assault after two more women came forward with allegations against the actor, comedian, and podcaster in the UK (via BBC News).

One of the new charges stems from an alleged incident that took place between February 7th and March 1st, 2009, while the other allegedly occurred between August 31st and December 1st, 2009. Brand is due in court on January 20th, 2026, to face the new charges.

Brand was already facing separate charges on five counts of rape, sexual assault, and indecent assault, to which he has pleaded not guilty. He is scheduled to go to trial in June 2026.

Over the weekend, Brand was a featured on-stage guest at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona.
