Squarespace Is Returning to the Super Bowl With a ‘Cinematic’ Story

Date:

Squarespace is building suspense for its 12th appearance as a Super Bowl advertiser.

The website building and hosting service revealed it is returning to the Big Game on Feb. 8, with a 30-second spot that will air during the first and second quarters.

While Squarespace has so far released few details about the upcoming campaign, a brand statement explained that “the spot unfolds as a cinematic, deeply human story, grounded in a clear and compelling call to action.”

“This year’s campaign continues the tradition of pairing standout creativity with innovative storytelling,” according to the statement.

The brand also revealed a teaser image from the ad, depicting a striking, black-and-white scene of a house atop a rock island surrounded by a moody sea and clouds.

Squarespace is a Super Bowl mainstay, having run commercials during the game for more than a decade. Its previous ads have featured celebrities such as Zendaya, Adam Driver, Martin Scorsese, and most recently, Irish actor and The Banshees of Inisherin star Barry Keoghan.

Super Bowl 60 will air on NBC, Peacock, and Telemundo. Ad inventory has been sold out since late August.
