Telangana vision document in line with the Viksit Bharat goal of India: Governor

The Telangana Governor Jishni Dev Varma said Telangana has set a target of becoming a three trillion-dollar economy by 2047, contributing significantly to India’s aspiration of a 30 trillion-dollar economy, and the vision document unveiled at the Telangana Rising Global Summit–2025 was in line with the Viksit Bharat idea of the Central Government.

Addressing the gathering after unfurling the tri-colour at the Parade Grounds on the Republic Day, the Governor, he said the Revanth Reddy Government has earned the trust of the people by achieving notable milestones. The ambitious “Telangana Rising – Vision 2047” document, which provides a comprehensive roadmap for inclusive and sustainable development, was in alignment with the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The women-centric schemes such as the Indira Mahila Shakti Mission, free bus travel, subsidised gas cylinders, Gruha Jyothi free power scheme, and SHG-run enterprises, and the housing under the Indiramma Indlu scheme, fine rice distribution to the poor, healthcare investments including a new Osmania General Hospital, and social justice measures including caste surveys and SC sub-caste categorisation showcased Government’s commitment.

Explaining the balanced regional development strategy, the Governor said the State has been structured into three economic zones – Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) with Hyderabad as the growth engine, Peri-Urban Region Economy (PURE) focusing on manufacturing between the

Outer and Regional Ring Roads, and Rural Agriculture Regional Economy (RARE) beyond the Regional Ring Road with emphasis on agriculture and green economy.

The Governor outlined extensive welfare measures for farmers, including free quality power, farm loan waivers up to ₹2 lakh, enhanced Rythu Bharosa assistance, procurement of all grains with bonuses, and constitution of a Farmer Commission. He said Telangana has emerged as a leading paddy-producing state and has expanded rice exports internationally.

On employment and education, he said large-scale recruitment was completed through the TSPSC, while initiatives like the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana, Young India Skill University, upgraded ITIs, new residential schools and an Education Commission are strengthening youth opportunities.

He said Telangana continues to attract global investments, is a hub for Global Capability Centres, life sciences and renewable energy, and has gained recognition for law and order, with Telangana Police ranking first in the India Justice Report-2025.

Highlighting cultural initiatives, the Governor recalled that Telangana Talli statues were inaugurated at district collectorates, and “Jaya Jaya He Telangana” was declared the official State Song. He also noted that a Cabinet meeting was held for the first time in the tribal village of Medaram and that permanent infrastructure worth ₹251 crore was sanctioned for the Medaram Tribal Maha Jathara.
