The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) launched new routes connecting Hyderabad’s suburbs to to the IT Corridor.
The move is an effort to improve the east-west connectivity of the city, and also to enable direct access from residential suburbs to major commercial and IT hubs. The move is a part of the State road transport undertaking’s ongoing efforts to identify hitherto unconnected neighbourhoods.
According to TGSRTC Hyderabad Region Manager Sudha Parimala, the new routes are designed to reduce travel time, and improve last-mile connectivity. They will also provide dependable public transport for daily commuters travelling across the city.
The new routes include 156/316 route which will operate between L.B. Nagar and Gachibowli via Dilsukhnagar Koti, Mehdipatnam, Langar Houz, Narsingi Crossroads, Kokapet Grossroads, GAR, Infosys and IIIT. The second is the 300/316 route. This will connect Hayathnagar to Gachibowli and will pass through L.B. Nagar, Champapet, Bandlaguda, Aramghar, Hyderguda, Langar Houz, Narsingi Crossroads, Kokapet Crossroads, GAR, Inforsys and IIIT. This route is aimed at providing a direct and seamless connection from the eastern suburbs to the city’s IT and commercial areas.
Similarly, 316 K will connect Aramghar to Gachibowli. Buses will pass through Dairy Farm, Hyderguda, Langar Houz, Bapughat, Suncity, TSPA Junction, Kokapet Crossroads and Nanakramguda Crossroads. Route 593/316L will connect Chevella to Gachibowli through Moinabad, Manchirevula Crossroads, Narsingi Crossroads and Kokapet Crossroads.
Ms.Parimala stated that buses will run frequent trips and the timings are convenient for office-goers. They have been determined in a way that entails a wider stop coverage. Proposals to connect other suburbs of the city and mofussil areas are also under active consideration.
