Between December 1 and December 14, 2025, Sunwing Vacations ran a campaign to support Hurricane Melissa relief efforts. For every Jamaica vacation booking made during this period, the company committed to donate $100 to GlobalMedic, a humanitarian organization dedicated to disaster relief. The result was an overwhelming show of support from Canadian travel agents, who helped drive bookings, with the ultimate goal of making a meaningful difference in the recovery efforts.

In addition to the donation initiative, WestJet Group, including its Sunwing Vacations team, also played an instrumental role in providing immediate relief to the affected communities. On November 6 and December 2, WestJet employees packed more than 1,630 Emergency Food Kits and Family Kits, which were then transported via WestJet Cargo to the affected regions. These kits included essential food and supplies, helping to sustain families during the early stages of recovery. This partnership with GlobalMedic helped ensure that immediate needs were addressed, supporting those who had lost homes, possessions, and livelihoods due to the hurricane.
