A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man identified as Jagadish at Chodedibba in Eluru town during the early hours of December 3.
Jagadish and his friend Bhavani Kumar then allegedly attacked the victim and threatened her not to disclose the crime.
Following her complaint, Eluru Two Town police registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused, Deputy Superintendent of Police D. Sravan Kumar said on Friday.
