Light
rain

recorded
in
the
capital
on
Tuesday
evening.
On
Wednesday,
strong
winds
blowing

speed

around
20-30
km
per
hour
caused
a
noticeable
drop
in
temperature.

A
western
disturbance
has
brought
fluctuating
weather
to
Uttar
Pradesh,
with
light
rain
in
Lucknow,
strong
winds
causing
temperature
drops,
and
forecasts
of
continued
cold
weather
and
possible
fog
in
Lucknow,
Agra,
and
Gorakhpur.
The
Meteorological
Department
predicts
dry
weather
for
Gorakhpur
and
nearby
districts,
and
anticipates
light
mist
or
fog
formation
in
Agra
on
Thursday
morning.

The
daytime
temperature
in
Lucknow
fell
by
nearly
three
degrees
Celsius
and
settled
at
21.6
degrees.
The
night
temperature
dropped
even
more
sharply,
falling
by
5.6
degrees,

weather

colder.

weather
system
is
expected
to
continue
on
Thursday
in
Lucknow
and
nearby
areas.
Several
districts
of
eastern
Uttar
Pradesh
may
also

rainfall
is
likely
in
the
Terai
belt.

meteorologist
Atul
Kumar
Singh
said
that
light
fog
may
appear
in
Lucknow
during
the
early
morning
hours
on
Thursday.
While
the
maximum
temperature
is
expected
to
stay
the
same,
the
minimum
temperature
could
drop
by
one
to
two
degrees.

Sunshine
is
expected
to
return
by
around
10
a.m.,
though
clouds
may
move
in
and
out
during
the
day.
There
is
no
alert
for
thunderstorms
or
strong
winds.
Daytime
temperatures
are
likely
to
remain
close
to
normal
across
most
districts.
Central
and
eastern
parts
of
the
state
will
continue
to
feel
cold,
with
only
mild
sunshine.

Agra
witnessed
dense
fog
on
Wednesday
morning,
which
gradually
cleared
as
the
day
progressed.
However,
clouds
covered
the
sky
throughout
the
day,

the
sun
did

an
appearance.

The
cold
intensified
as
there
was
very
little
difference
between
the
day
and
night
temperatures,

residents
shivering.
According

mist

again

morning,
