The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Association’s Vizianagaram district president Golagana Ramesh Yadav on Tuesday (January 26, 2026) urged people in different professions to utilise the Prime Minister Vishwakarma scheme to improve their skills and business activity.
He organised an awareness programme in Dasannapeta of Vizianagaram on the scheme which was launched by the Union Government to benefit carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, artisans, masons. He said the government would sanction ₹3 lakh loan without any collateral security for the applicants to start their own business activity.
Mr. Ramesh Yadav requested the officials to process the applications quickly so that people belonged to different fields would avail the loans which are given at 5% annual interest rate. He said that more awareness was the need of the hour in rural areas where applicants would lead respectable life with acquiring knowledge in training programmes conducted under the scheme.
