The Ramakrishna Mission, Vijayawada will inaugurate the Vivekananda Human Excellence Centre on February 1, marking a significant step towards youth empowerment and holistic human development. The new centre, located opposite Shailaja Theatre in Gandhinagar, and will be inaugurated by former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu. This will be follwed by the opening of a book sales counter.
A Yuva Sammelan and spiritual discourses will be held at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram. Senior monks from the Ramakrishna Math and Mission centres across India, along with eminent speakers, will address the gatherings
The inauguration coincides with Magha Pournami and the birth anniversary of Swami Adbhutananda Maharaj, adding spiritual significance to the occasion. The centre will be formally inaugurated by Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, president of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. This milestone comes as the Vijayawada Ramakrishna Mission celebrates its silver jubilee.
According to Mission secretary Swami Vinishchilananda Maharaj, the Vivekananda Human Excellence Centre will focus on providing Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil services guidance and training to youth, alongside programmes in meditation, yoga, personality development, mental discipline, emotional expression, and spiritual learning.
A Bal Sanskar Kendra will also function at the centre and will offer training in music, yoga, dance, moral values, devotional singing, and cultural education.
The mission has invited devotees and youth to participate in the programmes, describing the initiative as a platform to nurture values, discipline, and leadership among the younger generation.
