Watch Karol G Join Bad Bunny Onstage in Colombia

Date:

The two Latin superstars brought it all the way to 2017 with their collab single “Ahora Me Llama”

Bad Bunny took Colombia all the way back to 2017 when he brought out Karol G to sing their throwback collaboration “Ahora Me Llama” for his final night in Colombia. It was a welcome surprise as Benito wrapped up three star-studded nights in Medellín for his latest stop of the Debi Tirar Mas Fotos world tour.

Of course, Karol hails from the Colombian city but it still didn’t seem likely that the two biggest stars in Latin music would grace the stage at Estadio Atanasio Girardot. The performance marked the first time Bad Bunny and Karol G have performed onstage together in years, making the surprise that much more special.

After the pair dove into the 2017 track, Benito made sure to share his adoration for Karol, calling her “a representative of our culture and our music” and a “source of pride for Colombia.” Afterwards, the two musicians embraced, and then Karol got a solo moment on the Medellín stage. The singer burst into an energetic rendition of her Tropicoqueta cuts “Latina Foreva” and “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido.”

In the intervening years since they shared the stage, both Bad Bunny and Karol G have become massively successful musicians in their own right. In 2025, they both experienced whirlwind years following the release of their albums, and were highlighted in Rolling Stone‘s inaugural “Voices of the Year” package. That same year, Bad Bunny and Karol G attended the Latin Grammys and took home major awards for Album of the Year and Song of the Year, respectively.

The performance in Medellín also counters any supposed beef between the two stars. Back in 2023, fans wondered if Bad Bunny was referencing Karol on his Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana cut “VUELVE CANDY B.” On the track, he sang “Vengo de PR, de donde son las verdaderas bichota” (“I come from PR, where real bichotas are from”), which fans took as a jab at Karol’s nickname.

A few months later, Karol G seemed to reference the lyric debacle while performing in Medellin.  “Understand that there can be many Bichotas in the world. But from [Medellin] is the real Bichota,” she told the crowd. Now, three years later, the whole ordeal seems to be water under the bridge.
