before
the
release
of
Chiranjeevi’s
film
“Mana
Shankara
Vara
Prasad
Garu,” a
court
has
ordered
the
blocking
of
ratings
and
reviews
on
a
popular
online
ticket
booking
platform.

The
decision,
which
came
ahead
of
the
film’s
January
12
release,
was
made
after
the
producers
complained
about
negative
comments
and
ratings
appearing
online
even
before
the
movie’s
official
screening.

According
to
reports,
the
production
team
argued
that
such
premature
reviews
could
unfairly
harm
the
movie’s
reputation
and
impact
its
box
office
performance.
The
court,
after
reviewing
the
complaint,
directed
the
platform
to
temporarily
disable
audience
reviews
and
ratings
for
the
film
until
its
official
release.

Vijay
Deverakonda
Reacts
to
the
Court’s
Move

Actor
Vijay
Deverakonda
reacted
strongly
to
the
court’s
order
and
the
platform’s
action.
Sharing
a
screenshot
on
social
media
that
showed
the
review
section
being
blocked,
he
expressed
mixed
feelings
about
the
development.

“Happy
and
sad
to
see
this,” Vijay
wrote.
“Happy
because
it
protects
the
hard
work,
dreams,
and
money
of
so
many
people
who
make
films
with
passion.
Sad
because
it’s
disappointing
that
such
measures
are
even
necessary.
What
happened
to
live
and
let
live?”

He
also
spoke
about
his
own
experience
with
organized
online
negativity,
recalling
how
he
faced
similar
issues
during
the
release
of
his
2019
film
“Dear
Comrade.”

“Since
the
days
of
Dear
Comrade,
I
began
to
notice
the
politics
of
organised
attacks,”
he
said.
“People
told
me
that
no
one
can
stop
a
good
film,
but
the
scale
of
such
online
targeting
is
something
every
filmmaker
who
works
with
me
eventually
realizes.
I’ve
spent
many
sleepless
nights
wondering
why
people
do
this
and
how
to
protect
my
work
and
the
dreams
of
others
like
me.”

A
Step
Towards
Protecting
Creative
Effort

Vijay
said
he
was
relieved
that
the
issue
had
finally
reached
legal
recognition.
“I
am
glad
it’s
out
in
the
open
now
and
that
the
court
recognises
this
as
a
threat
–
even
for
someone
as
big
as
Megastar
Chiranjeevi,” he
added.

He
also
noted
that
while
the
court
order
may
not
solve
the
larger
problem
of
online
negativity
completely,
it
is
a
step
in
the
right
direction.
“It
will
at
least
be
one
less
thing
for
filmmakers
to
worry
about,”
he
said.

The
actor
ended
his
note
on
a
positive
tone,
wishing
Chiranjeevi’s
film
and
other
Sankranti
releases
great
success.
“Let’s
hope
#MSG
and
all
the
other
festive
releases
do
extremely
well
and
entertain
audiences
during
the
holidays,” he
wrote.
