Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked nine years of the state government with a strong focus on change, stating that the period has reshaped the state’s identity, governance and development agenda for its population of about 25 crore people.

Speaking at Lok Bhavan, Yogi Adityanath launched the book ‘Nav Nirman Ke 9 Varsh’, which documents this period. The Chief Minister linked the progress of Uttar Pradesh to policy decisions and political stability during these nine years in office.

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath marked 9 years of government, launching ‘Nav Nirman Ke 9 Varsh’ to document the state’s transformation in identity and development, attributing progress to the double-engine government and improved security since 2017.

Uttar Pradesh development and double-engine government achievements

Yogi Adityanath said, “The transformation witnessed in the state over the past 9 years under the guidance and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the result of the policies of the double-engine government, the tireless efforts of party workers, the service-oriented approach of public representatives, and the support of the people.”

Highlighting how residents contributed, Yogi Adityanath congratulated citizens and said the visible improvements show the combined strength of 25 crore people. According to Yogi Adityanath, this shared effort helped Uttar Pradesh gain a stronger position in national discussions on development.

Uttar Pradesh development and conditions before 2017

To explain the scale of change, the Chief Minister revisited the earlier situation. Yogi Adityanath said, “To understand this 9-year journey, it is important to know the condition of the state before 2017. Uttar Pradesh, despite its immense potential, was facing an identity crisis.”

Listing past concerns, Yogi Adityanath noted weaknesses in security and growth strategy. Yogi Adityanath said, “The law and order situation was such that neither women, nor traders, nor common citizens felt safe. There was no clear vision for development, leading to frustration among the youth, who either migrated or struggled without direction.”

Uttar Pradesh development, governance focus and outreach plan

Yogi Adityanath contrasted that phase with current policy priorities. Yogi Adityanath said, “Today the situation has completely changed. Over the past 9 years, the double-engine government has worked extensively on security, infrastructure, investment, employment, farmer welfare, women empowerment, and upliftment of the underprivileged.”

Yogi Adityanath said, “At the same time, continuous efforts have been made to preserve and promote the state’s faith, culture, and traditions, giving Uttar Pradesh a renewed identity at the national and global level.” The Chief Minister said this approach linked development with social and cultural confidence.

Outlining future communication plans, Yogi Adityanath said, “Through dialogue, not only will the achievements of the past 9 years be shared, but a roadmap for future development will also be outlined.” Yogi Adityanath added that the latest state budget is part of this broader vision.

On financial planning, Yogi Adityanath said, “This budget will give new momentum to the holistic and balanced development of Uttar Pradesh.” The Chief Minister said the government intends to continue tracking progress in areas such as security, infrastructure, welfare and investment in the coming years.
