Yogi Government Clears Rs 9.61 Crore for Cow Protection Centres, Tightens Rural Road Monitoring

centres
in

districts
and
also
pushes
stricter
monitoring
of
rural
road
projects
to
support
development
goals
linked
to
better
connectivity.

The
Uttar
Pradesh
government
approved
₹9.61
crore
to
establish
12
new
cow
protection
centers
across
eight
districts,
allocating
₹80.12
lakh
per
shelter,
while
also
instructing
stricter
monitoring
of
rural
road
projects
to
support
development
and
improve
connectivity.

For
stray
cattle
management,
the
Yogi
government
has
sanctioned
Rs
9.61
crore
to
build
12
new
cow
protection
centres.
Each
planned
shelter
receives
an
allocation
of
Rs
80.12
lakh.
The
plan
targets
areas
reporting
frequent
stray
cattle
issues,
especially
where
farms
and
village
roads
face
repeated
obstruction
and
crop
damage.

cattle
shelters,
Deputy
Chief
Minister
Keshav
Prasad
Maurya
has
urged
stronger
oversight
of
schemes
handled
by
the
Uttar
Pradesh
Rural

Agency.
Officials
are
told
to
ensure
high-level
and
continuous
monitoring
of
every
project.
Maurya
linked
this
to
the
aim
of
fulfilling
Prime
Minister
Narendra
Modi’s
vision
of
“Sampark
Se
Smriddhi”.

After
these
instructions,
the
agency’s
Chief
Executive
Officer
asked
officers
to
conduct
regular
field
inspections
and
file
weekly
progress
reports.
The
focus
is
on
tracking
work
quality,
speed
and
bottlenecks.
The
monitoring
drive
is
expected
to
flag
delays
early,
support
timely
payments
and
give
the
government
clearer
data
on
project
performance
in
remote
blocks.

Animal
Husbandry
Department,
new
cow
protection
centres
will
come
up
in
Tajopur
in
Mau;
Sarai
and
Gaura
in
Sitapur;
Parpa,

Hapur;
Kewalrampur
and
Akhtiyar
Nagar
in
Shahjahanpur;
Mahadeva
in
Gonda;
Anjarouli
in
Ayodhya;
Semaisa
in
Lakhimpur
Kheri;
and
Bandha
in
Jalaun.

The
department
has
already
issued
a
formal
order
for
these
works
and
instructed
the
Director,
Administration
and
Development,
Animal
Husbandry
Department,
to
complete
all
construction
quickly
and
with
assured
quality
standards.
Officials
are
expected
to
coordinate
land,
design
and
contracting
so
that
shelters
can
start
housing
stray
cattle
without
long
procedural
delays.
